Moving Checklists

Planning an Upcoming Move?

If you're getting ready to make a big move, we want to help make the process as easy as possible for you. Using questions we frequently hear from our tenants, we've crafted these simply moving checklists as a guide for your move. Whether you're taking possession of an Argo Property Management home or you're saying goodbye, the information below should help you embark on your move without any issues.

If you still have questions after reading through the checklists, please call us: (813) 969-0301.

Move-in Checklist

Congratulations on your approval for an Argo PM property! Please keep the following important keys in mind.

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You must pay your first month's rent and security deposit at the lease signing. If any additional fees or administrative charges are due, these must also be paid at that time. Please speak to us about the final amounts in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Please be sure to speak with us about any concerns regarding your move-in date. Generally, this will be set at the lease signing. We'll also provide information about ongoing inspections at that time.

Utilities

As a tenant in an Argo PM home, you must place all utility accounts in your name shortly after taking occupancy. Please be sure to do this as soon as possible, or you may encounter temporary outages and administrative fees.

Move-out Checklist

We're always sad to say goodbye to good tenants, but we wish you the best moving forward. Leave your rental on the right foot by taking care of these important responsibilities.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Before leaving your property, be sure to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the home. Take a look at your lease to learn more about the previously agreed-upon move-out date and any penalties for vacating early.

Property Condition

Your rental property should be returned to its original condition before you hand in the keys. Remember to address these tasks:

Property Cleaning: Your entire property should be thoroughly cleaned. Be sure to remove all of your possessions from the home and dispose of all garbage properly. Vacuum/sweep/mop all floors, wash hard surfaces and walls, and replace all burnt light bulbs. Pay careful attention in the kitchen and bathroom areas.

Landscaping: If you generally take care of outdoor maintenance tasks, be sure to do this once more before moving out of the property.

Security Deposit & Damages

The security deposit you provide at the time of your lease signing serves to protect against any damage that occurs during your stay. If any damage has occurred, you need to take the steps to rectify this before vacating the premises.

Patch nail and screw holes in walls, repaint discolored areas, etc. If more significant damage has taken place, please work with our team to resolve this in an amicable fashion.

We will conduct a final inspection when you move out of the home. If we identify any unaddressed damages, we will schedule repair visits and all costs for these visits will be deducted from the deposit.
